Arthur

Virtually presented augmented Reality applied to a Standardized Patient

A study of internal medicine residents found 66% failed basic competency in musculoskeletal disease diagnosis based on an anonymous exam. To address this deficiency, a unique, virtual, interactive program was developed to provide students with more opportunity for hands-on practice of joint pattern recognition for common musculoskeletal diseases. “Arthur” illustrates unique clinical scenarios for which students select one or more potential diagnoses from drop down menus. The training also includes explanations for incorrect and correct answers making “Arthur” a complete educational tool for the diagnosis of musculoskeletal diseases.
